The branched chain amino acids include three essential amino acids: L-leucine, L-valine and L-isoleucine. The branched amino acids, under conditions of metabolic stress (i.e., when the organism is subjected to an effort) which is capable of promoting protein synthesis, reduce protein catabolism and may serve as substrates for the production of energy (through gluconeogenesis). BCAA (Brain Chain Amino Acid) in the new wording is more enriched in leucine permit, according to several studies that have favorable results in terms of supporting the mass and muscle recovery. One study, in particular, has shown that BCAA supplementation (76% leucine) has favored a reduction of adipose tissue at a significant level of performance. Other studies highlight how taking supplements for the prevalence of Leucine, after physical activity, help to alleviate the damage to muscle tissue and promote protein synthesis, hence speeding up muscle recovery.
